Islands View is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Penally. The property was built before 1845 and was subject to extensive renovation in 2000. This resulted in three self-contained apartments. St. Margaret’s is the ground/first floor apartment and is named after one of the islands visible from the panoramic view. The apartment has spectacular views out to sea and to Caldey Island.
It also overlooks Tenby’s highly regarded golf links that has the distinction of being Wales’ oldest golf course.
The pretty village of Penally is the perfect base for your holiday all year round. The village boasts a Church, Post Office/General store and 3 public houses where a choice of good food is served. Penally is only 1.5 miles from the centre of the popular seaside town of Tenby on the South West Wales coast.
The town of Tenby is full of character, the historic walled town is filled with cobbled streets all lined with colourful gift shops, coffee shops, public houses and restaurants. A pleasant boat trip from the harbour at Tenby takes you to the beautiful and fascinating island of Caldey where the resident monks sell their own produce including chocolate, yoghurt and perfume.
The apartment is furnished to a very high standard and has attained a 4 star Welsh Tourist Board accreditation during 2006.
It is equipped with all the amenities you would expect to find at a property of this quality.
The spectacular Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is within 500 yards of the apartment making St. Margarets’s a perfect base for walking and other activities such as golf, boating or riding. Alternatively, after a 10 minute flat and scenic walk from the apartment you can relax on the beautiful sands of Tenby’s famous South Beach.
Living Room: The large living room has spectacular coastal views including Caldey Island, the golf course and South Beach. Three piece suite, dining table and chairs, colour TV, and video player. Kitchen: Fitted kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave and refrigerator. Bedroom 1: Double bed, bedside cabinets, a wardrobe, chest of drawers. Bedroom 2: Two single pine beds plus a further “Z” bed for an additional child up to the age of 11 years, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Bathroom: Panelled bath with mixer taps, separate shower cubicle, wash basin and wc. Utility Room: A shared utility room can be found near the garden area with automatic washing machine plus rotary washing line on site. Parking: There is parking for one vehicle. Garden: There is a shared graveled sun terrace with garden furniture. Rent is inclusive of gas fired central heating, electricity and the provision of bed linen. Cot supplied, please bring your own linen. Regrettably, no pets and no smoking allowed in the apartment. Friday changeover day, arrival time 3 pm.
